This is sorted in the test version I tried. Absolutely brilliant.

Thanks

That's a great point Stuart. I think we've just fixed this but I can't be sure because we don't have a tablet PC to test on. If you'd like to contact us by email I will send you a test build incorporating this fix and you should then see the map inflight context menu appearing when you hold your finger down.

You're also correct that we don't show the planned altitude in the virtual radar instrument. At the moment this is by design, as routes planned on the device don't even have a specific altitude set. We plan to address this in the future with more comprehensive vertical navigation facilities.

Can't you disable the 'long left click does a right click' functionality on your tablet? It's probably in the 'mouse' settings part.

I definately cant on my tablet pc. I tried it on my return leg yesterday and got no joy even zooming right in. I then stopped the gps to go back to the main screen and got the option straight away by holding my finger on an airfield.

I have worked out what the problem is though. When you hold your finger on a tablet pc it activates a "right click" when in fact it only works if you activate a long "left click" in gps mode whereas a long right click brings up a menu without the view card options.

You could do a long left click by moving the mouse pointer and holding the left touch pad button which is fine if you dont have a touch screen tablet but wont work for one of them which are certainly the best device to use this on.

I hope that helps, perhaps there is another solution. Adding the long left click pop up menue to the right click menu would fix it.

Hi

You definitely can bring up the plate view in GPS mode. You have to press and hold within about 20 pixels of the centre of the airfield for it to appear in the context menu.

You are right that the planned altitude doesn't appear to be shown anywhere - I hadn't noticed that!

I am not sure if I should be posting this here or in the SkyDemon Plan section but here goes.

Recently when i suggested a better "directto" function i was quickly informed that I had not realised that I could simply long click (hold my finger on my tablet pc) and it would pop up a menu to append to my route which does happen and is great but this seemingly only happens in plan view....

I have noticed when in plan view I get the option of "view card" and also in the enroute window it shows me a magenta line for my planned route level but once I am in GPS view you cant bring up the card with a long click and it no longer shows the magenta line to show where i planned to level off at. Am I doing something wrong or could this feature be included.

Once again, I have to say this is the easiest and best aviation software. On Monday I flew Blackpool to Shoreham without looking at a real map, my garmin 430's/296 my adf or vor and navigated airspace perfectly. You should get a medal for this software. I cant wait for future versions to see what you add.
